Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Glovebox handles information. Created by GLOVEBOX LTD. Contact: support@gloveboxcarlog.online.

Glovebox is built with privacy as a core principle. The mobile app does not collect, store, or share personal information on our servers because we do not operate an app backend.

1. No accounts and no cloud logbook

Glovebox does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or sync a profile. Vehicles, service entries, receipts, reminder intervals, currency, and notification preferences stay in local storage on your Android device. We do not receive a copy of that logbook.

2. What stays on the device

The app stores, only locally:

• Vehicle details you enter (name, year, make, model, units, optional photo)
• Service history you stamp (type, odometer, date, cost, shop, notes, optional receipt image)
• Settings such as currency, reminder intervals, and whether mileage alerts are enabled

You control this data. You may export a PDF, export or restore a JSON backup, or wipe the logbook from Settings.

3. Network use

The log itself works without an internet connection. The app may open a network connection only to:

• Load this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service in an in-app WebView
• Offer an optional in-app review through Google Play

The app does not send service records, photos, or odometer readings to GLOVEBOX LTD or to any analytics platform.

4. Notifications

If you allow Android’s notification permission, Glovebox may post local mileage reminders after you update the odometer and an interval becomes due, due soon, or overdue. You can send a test reminder from Settings. These notifications are created on the device. They are not remote push and are not used for marketing. If permission is denied, Settings shows a blocked state and a link to system settings.

5. Camera and photos

Receipts and vehicle photos use Android’s system camera or photo picker. The app does not declare camera or media-library permissions. Images you attach remain in the app’s local files on the device unless you export or share them yourself.

6. No third-party trackers in the app

Glovebox does not include advertising SDKs, crash-analytics suites, or social pixels. Google Play services may be involved solely for distribution and the optional review prompt.

7. This website

This marketing site is static. It does not run a contact form and does not require an account. See the Cookie Policy for how the site treats cookies and local preferences. CDN hosts that serve fonts and scripts on this site are third parties and have their own policies.

8. Children

The app is a general vehicle log intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The app does not target minors and does not ask for personal details.

9. Security

Because records stay on your phone, their safety follows your device lock, backups you choose to make, and apps you grant access to shared storage when you export files. We cannot recover a wiped or uninstalled logbook.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change. Continued use of the app or site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
